Wow. We were excited going into the weekend and it turns out our excitement was justified. So many big stories to tackle today, but the biggest has to be the sacking of Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool. He got the dreaded phone call after the derby draw at Goodison. David Conn is on the case and has his usual astute assessment of the situation at Anfield: Liverpool still suffering from an identity crisis in Premier League era...Brendan Rodgers was the latest manager to fail to emulate Anfield’s glorious past, but FSG must recognise that the infrastructure is not yet in place to return them to the highest level.
